Details: Learn about online tools (Web 2.0 applications) that provide for unique ways to engage your students - both within the classroom and in activities outside your classroom. Some of these tools include:

Zotero: a free, easy-to-use Firefox extension to help you collect, manage, and cite your research sources. It lives right where you do your work in the web browser itself. (www.zotero.org/).
Ning: enables individuals to simplify and control their own unique social network that integrates with other social media services while providing direct and unique relationship with members. (www.ning.com).

Diigo: provides a browser add-on that can improve your research productivity. As you read on the web, instead of just bookmarking, you can highlight portions of web pages that are of particular interest to you. You can also attach sticky notes to specific parts of web pages and Diigo offers several other features. (www.diigo.com).
Google Docs: Google Docs is a free, Web-based word processor, spreadsheet, presentation, and form application offered by Google. Google Docs is entirely online and provides for virtual collaboration. It can import and export Office documents of almost any kind. (docs.google.com).
